The Sharavati's - Dabbe Falls Trek & Water Sports in Serene Sharavati River

Hello Fellow Adventurers,

Below I am describing about one more beauty in Sharavati - The Dabbe falls.

Dabbe Falls:

Trek Difficulty-Medium(very steep for about a KM)
Trek KM-10
Things Must Have while trekking Dabbe : Good pair of trekking shoes, Rope, Water bottles and a guide.

After My Visit to Sharavati Forest in recent times with 13 people where I was the organizer, Trekking to Kanoor Kote, Veegi/Hosgithi Falls & Jainbasthi, i couldn't accept the fact that I have not made it to One of the beautiful water Falls in Sharavati-The Dabbe Falls, so on the way back to Bangalore I had
fixed my next trek to organize, and one more thing which attracted about Sharavati was The Water. The most Pleasant, Cool, purest form of water I have ever experienced, so things got fixed in my mind about my next adventure-to Trek Dabbe followed by Water Activities next day :-D.

As Now I knew the local People somewhat well, I started checking about the possibilities of the two day Activity in Sharavati; after thinking alot zeroed on Dabbe Trek for 1 day, Camping in the island, followed by water activities like Swimming, Kayaking Canoeing on the next day.

we were 19 in group,  journey started around 10:00pm from majestic on a friday night. I never knew playing antakshari was so much fun; so few people turned the whole scene around, and made us to laugh like hell. We reached around 6:45AM at Kargal on sat Morning, had some tea and waited for a local guy to Show us the base camp. We finally reached the base camp, this time it was different. There was a Temple inside the forest, everyone started to fresh themselves up and me along with few bunch started exploring the surroundings. There we found a Water Stream, good view of a stream with cool morning essence, there waited our Morning breakfast, Idli, Wada & Sambar followed by Tea-Hmmm Yummy.

We left to the trek Starting Point in our Bus which was 20 KM Away and there we go some wildlife, we saw 6-7 Cheetal Group Passing our way, and few had a change to Sight the Rearly Found Macaque-The Lion tailed Monkey. We reached the Trek Starting point @ 10:30AM, we started to Trek to Dabbe-with our Backpacks along with 3 Guides who even carried groceries for our afternoon lunch on their heads. We never felt we are trekking in summer because the trail was mostly Covered with Dense Forest, walking through several Streams, remember we all are very much unknown to each other, it was totally a strange group united for this memorable adventure. We started knowing each other and found that we are alike when it comes to adventure, now was the challenge, we came across a steep which was 45% all over for a KM.
We are set aback that we need to really follow this trial, as someone rightly said – the difficult way always leads to heaven. It’s of course said by me, there was a couple who aged above 50, I couldn't really believe they actually trekked it. Awesome energy shown by them, you have to be very careful as this terrain has lots of rock which are not strongly grounded and if we step on them the person on the incline next to you will get badly hurt. We stepped on several rocks but luckily no one got hurt, and after descending to a ample amount of distance, we were shocked to see the trail got more worse as some 20 Mts we need to Descend by holding rope. But believe me what an adventure experience that was, than we saw the Beauty making sounds, and mesmerized to see a Fall falling from a height of 150-200 Mts in the peak summer we were actually witnessing the Waterfall which had Ample amount of water to pleasure our Eyes.
Everyone wanted to get down in Water after this difficult Trail, so no one wasted time to make their sweat worth. We all had great time in the purest form of water, singing, shouting, cheerful moments for all of us. We spent around 2Hours in water and it was 2:30PM, we started ascending back-guessing how difficult it would be to climb on the same terrain, but it was not so much difficult. The food was all prepared and we wasted no time to grab that delicious food. It was Rice with Drumstick sambhar with pickle and papad. We took some rest and then started our 4KM trek back to the bus. We boarded and started to Travel towards the island where we need to Camp that night, reached one of the tribal house where we had the best Kashaya (kannada word – a herbal hot drink) and followed by Mirchi Bajji. Mouth watering those were; it was already dark and we need to cross the river in that pitch dark evening.

The island-HALKE was located far around 1KM from the mainland, we took a coracle and reached the island by around 8:00PM, wow what a lifetime experience, being in water when its dark, and riding a coracle....it was a pitch dark island where we can see only the campfires, no other forms of lights ever existed, we all rejoiced the amount of adventure we had on day 1, followed by some great mature talks about our passions by Chitra (Remember the old Couple). We had several debates, cool breeze as we were very much nearer to the water, few people slept as they were too tired, than the food was all on the way.

Everyone woke up to see what’s on the platter, hmmmm all eyes were wide open smelling that delicious food in the jungle. It was Bisibelebath, Curd rice, Chappati with Cabbage Curry and Sweet (paisa-made up of rice). We all had tummy full dinner and then everyone headed towards the tents where our nature sleep was planned. Everyone slept but me along with 3 friends went near to the river and started exchanging our experiences as you know these day are just for once and they will never come back so we thought of skipping our sleep for few hours although we had worst sleep on the other day. We traveled cool wind, the sight of a moon, and pitch black island with everyone slept, made the night more calm and clean. After spending few hours we slept in our respective tents as well.

The sun arises next morning, we woke up by 6:30AM, coming out of our respective tents, we felt so lovely feeling the chilled air, with Sun just showing his effects, a beautiful Sunrise on the island was treat to watch. Although maximum people were still in tents napping, myself along with few friends went to explore the island forest, walking inside the forest on the Halke island felt so good due to the cool Breeze, it was no natural, no human traces at all, we took a two KM walk and returned back feeling nature.

We freshened up ourselves, backpacked things, our breakfast was ready - it was Ragi and Rice Dosa with yummy tasting Sambar & Chatni. We finished our breakfast, now time to take a dive in the river we were appreciating all night and day.
Initially non-swimmers very bit scared, but with the life jackets on, everyone was pretty confident that they would never sink.  However, the  trainer instructed few precautions and they we all were into the cool, pure water, ahhh it felt so good, but actually we had to swim all over a KM to reach the mainland.
Believe me, we never got exhausted swimming so long. We climbed the dry trees in the middle of river and took dives, words fall short to express such feelings, amazing it was. After 4 hours we reached the mainland swimming all the way, but no one was ready to leave water even after so many hours. Then we took our respective kayaks and Coracles and started our rides, wonderful is what I can say. After these fun-filled water activities, we were damn hungry, and by 2:00PM our lunch was ready, again a great lunch which included, pulao, curd rice, papad & pickle.

We relaxed for about 1 hour and started walking back to the tribal house where we have parked our vehicle. We reached and tea was waiting for us and finally we departed to Bangalore. Being in Sharavati again was amazing and unforgettable lifetime experience for me.

  2. My very first "real" trek was with TQV (Katti beta, Bisle forest). The itinerary email, honestly, scared me. It mentioned that the trek will be difficult and it is not for first timers :P. I had never tested my stamina in reality and I joined with a lot of doubts in my head. During the trek, I got to know that my body and mind could handle it well and it was enjoyable!! It opened up a passion that I never knew I had in me. After that I have never had doubts to join treks with you guys.

Unlike the other trekking communities, whom I don't want to name here, TQV treks are true exploratory-treks: we go into places where humans rarely or never go.

And the experiences are something you will cherish for a lifetime.
At some places your body and mind are lost in the serenity of nature... breathing the fresh air... drinking the mountain water.. like you are one with nature again...
At some places.. you are having a psychological fight with your mind.. to disagree that your body is tired and it can carry on forward for a long distance...
At some other places, you are having a blast with all the trekkers, who are now friends... cracking jokes, enjoying a well prepared meal...

All of these give you a high.. a high that is difficult to find in city life... and it is an addictive high!! :P

Organizing events like these is in itself an arduous task, not to mention managing the uncertainties during the event. It's all carried out so well.. that you don't have the slightest of complaints at the end of each event. It's by far the best trekking community I've been with.

I wish TQV grows huge and kindles love and respect towards nature among all of us.

  4. Had a couple of treks with the group, covered kudremukha and brahmagiri. I must say it was a unique experience. Freshly prepared breakfast at lush green base camp surrounded by mountains, swimming in less known fresh water lakes and waterfalls, and hiking above the clouds. Kudos to the organizer.

  5. WEEKEND @ MEGHANI....
This was my first trek with Tranquil Voyagers.. It was Meghani Expedition. Initially I did not expect much with person or group. But I had to change my decisions at the end. It was one of the memorable trek for me . This place was not much explored or famous so that made me curious about the trek.

The event was well organized even-though there were few minor changes but it was very well handled.Even throughout the trek we got nice and yummy food which is very rare with other groups. Also this particular group has a good motive to work towards society. they want give some thing back to community which is really great. I would say keep up the good work.

  6. My first trek with TQV was Brahmagiri forest expedition. I had been on some expeditions before this, but this one was a different experience for me. The place ofcourse was a very good choice. Had a very good time with all new bunch of freinds. Spent the weekend in a meaningful way, visited nature, enjoyed water falls, river rafting, zip line and many more activities, otherwise we simply waste time by roaming in b'lore city. The complete event was very well organised. Looking forward for more events from TQV in future. I wish Happy yugaadi and prosperous new year to all my Tqv mates.

  7. I have been with Tranquil Voyagers since before they were called so. The group that has taken up this name is one of the most energetic and enthusiastic bunch of people I have ever met. The treks with Shravan and his group have been a memorable exploration of the forest areas in Karnataka. The organisation has never left anything to be desired. The explorers are hand picked and scrutinised to filter out the idle joyriders and one finds himself in the midst of like minded nature lovers : people with the utmost respect for nature and an incessant urge to explore her.

The Dabbe Falls and Sharavathi Water sports was the first of the outings I have had with Tranquil Vovagers. The mix of an excursion and some light activity is what sets them apart. I still remember the hours spent swimming in the Halke lake and the adventurous route to the Dabbe falls.

I have always felt at home with Tranquil Voyagers and despite having moved out of Bangalore, still try to join in whenever I can. Here's wishing you luck and hoping that you reach out and influence more and more lucky souls. :)

  11. I have done many treks with Shravan since before he named the group Tranquil Voyagers. Among all treks many are exploratory treks, Till now the group has done only one repeated trek to Sharavathy dabbe falls, that too because of many requests(especially me bugging him in almost all the treks!!).

All the treks were neatly organised, unique in experience. I like yummy and freshly prepared food.

Coming to Shravan from my first trek he became a very good friend of mine. I don't have any reason to say no to his treks. He is a very good organizer, singer, shows lot of respect towards nature n community.

    Keep rocking bro..

  13. I was in bangalore for a short duration of 6 months for an internship. This was when the group was not named anything as such. We were a small group with a common interest....to explore the unexplored!!
After a hectic and monotonous week at office, i used to look forward to the trek weekends. And it was truly refreshing. Being new to bangalore, i didnt have many acquaintances there, and got to know about this group through meetup.
My first trek with Shravan was to the sharavati forest. And then there was no stopping after that. In that short duration of my stay in bangalore, i was able to go to 4 treks with the group, and the experience kept getting better with each trek.
The diversity in the group, both, in ages and hobbies got me interested a wide array of activities. Cycling was one of them, which I continue to this day.
This i feel is the best part about the group. Apart from the core 5 to 6 people, you get to spend 2 entire days with people you have never met, thus giving you time to pick up on so many new interests., be it photography, exploratory expeditions, or simply networking. Looking back now, the stint in bangalore reminds me mainly of these fun filled weekends with shravan and co. And not the least about what i learnt at the company, since the latter seems so insignificant against the former.
You have taken up a great initiative shravan. Keep it up. Hope to join you once with the new name in place n all.

  14. I was kinda unsure before leaving for the very first trek with Tranquil Voyagers aka Shravan, until I met him.
Since then I have been to another 3 treks with Tranquil Voyagers and each time it's an amazing experience, I explored or got to know something new which, one can not imagine in city life. Like, in my latest trek to Sharavati, I have tasted the fresh sugarcane juice and the awesome jaggery, prepared in the field itself. Everyone in the group went crazy over it!
Most importantly I really appreciate the management. From the travel, stay to food, everything is well arranged. I get to meet very nice people in each trek and that is because Shravan never entertains "weird characters" :D
Thanks to Tranquil Voyagers for making me experience the best of the nature.

  16. I am feeling very proud today because I hiked 2nd Highest peak "Meesapulimala - 8,661 ft" of western-ghat yesterday and all this happened only because of "Tranquil Voyagers" and efforts of "Shravan".

I am one of the old trek mate of Shravan since he was also a trekker. We did lots of trek together. He is very passionate and nature caring guy. His passion made Tranquil Voyagers and undoubtedly now TQVs achieving success because of his hard work in organizing treks and Hiking.

And I know TQVs will put lots of mile stones in his future journey and I would be glad in participating TQV future events till I am alive.

Today is 23-June and I don't want to miss this chance to wish Father of TQV so Many Many Happy returns of the day Shravan. God bless you long & happy life. And you fulfils all your dreams. My best wishes is always with you.

  17. "Meesapulimala" - 8,661 ft (2nd highest peak of western ghats):
It was a great trip as usual. People who have been trekking with Tranquil Voyagers aka "Shravan" it is usual stuff to say what a fun filled trek it was. This was the first time he organized in this region so hurdles are bound to come. The way he managed through it and kept the whole group together is wonderful. Adventures are more fun when unexpected things happen :)

Met some old buddies (1 trek old) and made some great buddies in this one as well. This was a good group to trek with overall. For the first timers, good job guys. Hope you continue this adventure ahead.

I am sure I have lot of things to learn from Shravan like patience and organizing. May you have more adventures in future and happy b'day bro.

  18. In retrospect, choosing 'Tranquil Voyagers' to take my first trek with, was an excellent decision. With Shravan around, no mountain is too high to climb. The organizers made such an effort to make our journey as comfortable as can be expected. I am extremely proud to have conquered the Meesapulimala mountain, standing at a height of 8600 ft, with the set of people that I did. Every one of them, added a new flavour to my adventure and made it that much more memorable.

Shravan, your patience and passion is commendable. You have inspired me and have completely and fully won Vinodh and I over. We look forward to trekking with you again.

  19. I have been on three treks with Shravan/Tranquil Voyagers and have thoroughly enjoyed each one of them. Shravan possesses very good organizing and people skills; therefore, ensures that each of these events are planned and coordinated well. Even when unseemly situations arise, he maintains his composure and manages things adeptly.

Having trekked with other groups, the difference I noted with TQV is that Shravan manages to maintain a very good team-environment during the events and takes care of the whole bunch. Thanks to TQV for organizing challenging and exploratory treks, that help you break away from the mundane city life and enjoy in the lap of mother nature.

Looking forward to doing more treks with TQV

Shravan does a great job in organizing upto expectations leaving no mark of dissatisfaction. My recent trek was to Meghane peak, which is one of the unexplored peaks of Sharavathi valley. It was a monsoon trek and the nature didn't disappoint us. We got drenched, reached new heights, leeches were all over us, and the best part is we all enjoyed it!.. Thank you Shravan for making this happen. Looking forward for more... :)

  22. Hey Shravan,
First of all, let me congratulate you for the way you are managing these treks. The simplicity and the eccentricity of these odysseys really allure the serious trekker towards your group every time. More than the treks, it's your effort of spreading awareness on Nature that impresses me the most. Even if 5 people out of 20 fall in love with Nature, half the battle in won there! Keep up the great work and I will always be there to support you!

  23. Climbing the Kudremukh and Gangadikal peaks was the first trek ever i went for. And i'm glad i went with the Tranquil Voyagers. The group was awesome and it was a nice experience meeting so many new and extraordinary people. It was altogether a new experience for me. Proved to be a good break from the daily city routine. Surrounded by pure nature with no mode of communication with the known ones was a huge relief. The journey to the peak is something that moves you completely. There comes a point when you just want to give up and return back. But thanks to the Organizers who keep motivating to push yourself a little more and just reach there. And that is where, at the very top, you realise what you would have missed otherwise. Standing above the clouds with only greenery surrounding, you feel completely drained of everything. I owe a big time to the Tranquil Voyagers for being there with me throughout the journey. A big round of applause to the measures taken by the group to maintain the beauty and integrity of the nature, to prevent any harm being done to the surroundings and the wildlife. It was simply awesome and would definitely like to go on trek again with the Tranquil Voyagers. Just loved it!!

  25. Trek to kudremukh..was the one that I did with Tranquil voyagers.. It was just a worthy experience.. The place and the valleys..everything was very beautiful..but the thing that i would like to mention here is..the people on this journey with us were equally beautiful when it came to their nature.. I would like to thank Shravan and encourage him to keep on organising such treks... Two most important things that he mentions always no smoking/drinking and no littering... they help us preserve the sanctity of the place..but at the same time he also mentions to all the people on he trek that respect each other..this helps in maintaining a very nice and jolly atmosphere during the trek between the entire group...
Talking about the trek..we covered two peaks in a day..Gangadikkal and Kudremukh..personally i liked the trek to Gangadikal as the view from there was 'heavenly beautiful'..when you see a glimpse of mountain peaks amidst the cloude..'insane crazy happiness is experienced'..to sum it up...it was a wonderful experience which i would like to live and relive again and again

I’m glad that I was a part of TQV in a jaunt to Ballarayandurga fort n bandajje falls.Such a serene beauty it was, Completely TRANQUIL I was in totally love with the green planetary, all thanks to the Mr organizer, Shravan, who always leads nature lovers to the lap of the mother earth . I’m proud to say that I trek with TQV because all his treks are unique and well organized. You can’t find even a single flaw in his arrangements (eg: he makes sure even in mid f a dense jungle u get yummy feast) , a crazy guy on the earth and yet caring and responsible  On the whole it was a great time with the mother earth and the team of voyagers, I will make sure that I will always be in the list of TQV for all their upcoming expeditions.

The breath taking views, water falls, hills, sun set and a nice group company. Night camp fire with entertaining folks with thier singing was so good, thanks to Vivek and Shravan. And Shravan you took care of all arrangements so well, thanks to you, I never fell short of anything, arrangements were seamless Hope to again soon.

  29. This was the first trek of my life. It was a bit tough climbing up in the mountains for me. But with Shravan arranging tea and food at the right time I didnt feel tired at any point of time during the trek. You are an awesome organizer and I can tell this with confidence that going on trekking with Shravan is 100% far better than any other other trekking group. Thanks for giving us this wonderful trek. And my kind advice always keep the group small and never increase the size for whatever reason.

I had an awesome time seeing the sunset , midnight sky at its pristine along with songs being sung in the background , the tent arrangement , food etc etc ..... It was my 3rd trek with TQV and I love to trek with the group again and again .... I hope Sravan will find much more exoctic places to explore where human greed has still not penetrated to disturb the nature .... All the best buddy ....

  31. This is my first trek with an Organized Group and I must admit that it was awesome !!! All the pieces that have been planned and put together to have a successful trek is tremendous effort. We were pretty close to the Peak on my way up when I got dehydrated and my muscles started to cramp and I couldn't move further. I would like to thank Shravan and the rest of the Team for supporting me and staying with me, getting me water and then being with me till the time we reached camp trekking in the dark. I am really happy that nobody left me alone in a situation where I was desperate for help and water. Looking forward to doing many more treks with you guys..... cheers !!!

  32. The trek to Uttambara peak through Bodi forests with Tranquil voyagers was my first ever. It had been difficult and I still seem to have lot of thorn cuts and marks all over my hands and legs. Since it was offbeat, it required a lot of organization and Shravan did it all well. I had been dehydrated, found it difficult to proceed with my hurt legs but the motivation from the team kept me going. I sincerely thank everyone for sticking with me till the end, helping me out all the while. All these efforts got superseded with the serene nature, overnight camping fun, sun rise between mountains and other brilliant views! Only thing we missed out was the sun set and hope shravan keeps in tab, 'the locals vs trekkers time factor' in the coming offbeat treks. On the whole, it was a mind blowing experience. Looking forward for more. Thanks and Cheers.

  33. Hi all,

I was in TQV organised Bodi- Kodai forest treks. With hiking of 39kms in less than two days in searing heat & from altitude of ~600m to ~2000m, I must say, this was my toughest trek till date. I had lot of unmatching experiances during the trek. Frankly the trek tops my personal bests list in many aspects.

The group I accompanied was so amazing and supportive.DC and 20Questions played during our return was too much fun.
Thankyou everyone for being so nice and special thanks to Shravan for organising.

    What a trek!

  34. My first trek with Tranquil Voyagers to Bodi - Kodai in one word will be "Awesome". We made our own trail through the dense forests and ultimately when we reached the peak, we found, a mesmerizing golden horizon of setting sun was waiting for us. Apart from discovering the unbeatable nature's beauty, I found the true meaning of "team spirit". The way we helped, played and teased each other did not make me feel for a moment that we met each other just a day ago.

Thanks to all and everyone of our group and the organizer, one and only Shravan!

  35. Bodi-Kodai - 39kms - My First and unforgettable trek with Tranquil Voyagers!!!

First of all, thank you and kudos for organizing such an unique expedition into the wilderness... I had wonderful experience enjoying the intact nature, night sky, forests and mountains and peaks which I cannot cherish with any other usual treks that just involves hiking. This trek really got my stamina and patience tested but of course handled it well with your support and the rest of the team (again thanks to u for that!). The trail indeed was difficult with too many thorns and grass (a little heads up about this would have been good ;p) that left too many marks both physically (still recovering from the after-effects) and mentally but it taught many new lessons. Apart from these, the much needed food and the entertainment was much satisfying.

Above everything, I definitely had a personal touch with the nature and my thirst for adventure and exploration has gone up a notch high with this trek.. Good luck with your future expeditions and hope will join you for few more in the future :)

    Happy Trekking :p

The trekking group has always been decent sized, and all sharing similar interests, which is always good, coz one bad apple can spoil the whole trip. Trek routes, mostly offbeat, which is what you expect if you are interested in trekking. Then comes the fun activities, lots of laughter to end the trip on a positive note. By the end of it all you end up making some good friends.

  52. Recently went to kudremukha with Tranquil Voyagers. The sceneries this place offers nature lovers are amazingly breathtaking and serene. Had an incredible time with the fellow trekkers. The strictness of no smoking, no boozing, no littering policies of TQV are "kabil-e-tarif" at a place like this where several trekkers like to frolic but not all strive to protect the beautiful nature. Thanks for the wonderful experience.

  54. Hello Tranquil Voyagers,

For a trek to be memorable, i believe, there are three aspects to it. 1. Choice of Place
    2. Planning
    3. Execution

talking about the choice of place, This was my second trek with you guys and both the times the peaks chosen were very serene and tranquil. I don't know whether it is the coincidence or the way you choose it that in both the treks i found at least one place which gave a total out of the feeling. The Thirumalaguppi falls which we encountered on the way back after conquering Thirumalaguppi peak and the Bhadra river which we found in Bhagavathi nature camp during this trek. Such places make a trek even more memorable.

Planning, the way the details were communicated to all fellow travelers not only just help the travelers be prepared. It also gives the confidence about the knowledge the organizer holds in executing a trip.

Execution was really good and the contacts you have established with the people makes you stand out. That gives a human touch to what you are doing. Though there were little glitches, the relation you build with every participant makes all the glitches tiny.

After two expeditions with you what i can always look forward in a trek with you is a good set of like minded people and passionate people (Thanks for filtering you do) and tranquil places. These two together make a trek a memorable experience.

    Thanks for this experience,
    Thirumala

  55. First and foremost, my apologies for a late feedback. But here it goes -

Rather than the trek destination, it was at first to be with Tranquil Voyagers that drew my attention. This is because, of all those mushrooming trekking organizations out there, I knew Shravan is someone who would not compromise with an important aspect - taking necessary permissions before we chart into the wilderness. So, when I got a chance to be a member of the Voyagers, the answer was a definite 'yes'.

Now, here goes the most important part of the trek, to me at least. The group. Never have I experienced such energetic and contagiously enthusiastic team before. The laughter we shared over the games, the trek, the bus-journey - all made the voyage worth it! When the trek lead himself is such a gifted singer, needless to say the journey will be entertaining. And it was! :D

Coming back to the trek, Kurinjal peak is no Kumara Parvata, you can chart it easily. But he beauty it offered is unique just like the trail that led to it. A river bath that followed the trek day, a jeep ride and the warmth of a rustic homestay added to the charm and peace that a trekker would look for. And all along, there was one thing in bold - Shravan's skill in handling and planning every bit of it. Kudos to you.

Last but not least, thanks o having me in the group. It was a pleasure being with the team. Best wishes for the success of all the treks and voyages you'll arrange.

    Cheers,
    Rini

There were some experienced trekkers and a few first timers like me in the group but overall the group involved a fantastic bunch of people. Shravan, the organiser, deserves credit for just about everything. He made sure the group lived up to all the promises and the protocols we set to ourselves before the leap. And I am sure with the way Shravan took care of us, everyone in the group felt comfortable and enthused through out.

  63. Hi TranquilVoyagers, its Katie. Wonderful Experience! We started on Friday late evening with a group of strangers, and did not realize that we became friends in no time. All like minded travelers introduced themselves, and then the real fun begins.

Shravan, the one I liked the most as compared to other traveling groups' organizers I joined before, shared his interesting stories with us. He did not miss a single opportunity to make us laugh as he wants to see people happy and cheerful around him.

This trip exceeded my expectations in everything. Once we reached the destination, I felt what I was looking for. When we started the real trekking and crossed a little distance, I found myself talking to the nature. And the most important and beautiful thing is the PEAK! As and when we touched the peak, it was one of the most amazing experience of my life. Was on the top and could see the mesmerizing beauty from a great height.

TranquilVoyagers has made it possible for me to feel the tranquility in real, interact with the nature and respect it, know myself and my hidden interests in depth, be stronger, and have some beautiful moments of my life.

I have too much to write, however most of the feelings I will not be able to write in words, it just can be felt. So you have to go to feel it and experience it:)

    Thanks.

Was happy that they allowed me to bring my own bodyguard my 11 year old.
But turned out it wasnt needed in that friendly company at all.
Travel was comfortable, stay the most comfortable available at a base camp and warm meals.
The trek was amazing, was amazed by the hills and streams and waterfalls. The hue which the hills had ... purple green mix.... admirable!
Shravan was a great organiser to take care of everyth, from food/stay/transport
the added bonus is his lighthearted comedy, engagement with members, enthusiasm for the nature and heart rendering singing which would keep you entertained all through.

  66. To be honest, this was my very first trek through meet up. I registered after all so called due diligence esp..to ensure its a group who believes & follows a non drinking/smoking/littering treks .

What I experienced are beyond words. For me, it was both a outward & inward voyage to calmness. Tied knots of harmony with the serenity around. During my entire time spent I was smiling from within & the words that used most were……WAOW, BEAUTIFUL. The breeze, the mesmerizing view of & from the peaks… various shades of green, freshness, the blue sky, clouds, fog, dew drops, rains, walks, waterfalls, ….. absolute TRANQUILITY. A million worthy walk in the soaking rain through shallow streams, muddy and slippery trails with shoes coated with fresh mud and ofcourse the leeach bites.

A big thank you Shravan for the well organized trip. Truly admire & appreciate your respect for nature & for ensuring a zero rules violation trek. Though this was my first trek with you but this was indeed the most exciting and most liberating trip so far. The group was truly amazing. Thankful to you and each one of the group member for this eventful trip…. Because of you supportive all, I could live and roam free . We all went as strangers but came back as good, enthusiastic and cheerful friends.
    Keep exploring with tranquility

  72. This two day trek came out to be one of the best experiences of my life. We started the trek after a delicious breakfast at a house in the village uphills. As it was my first trek, I got a bit freaked out by the leeches around but as I kept going, it became fine as they don't do anything. We walked through dense forests, lush greenery and streams. It was a beautiful sight but the best was when we reached the peak. The view from top was terrific and it felt beautiful to be in the lap of nature and to be so close to it. It makes you appreciate god's creations even more.
It's a must experience for everyone who loves adventure and nature. Also, the stay and food arrangements were nicely done. I got to a meet a lot of people who were really fun to be with. Shravan, the organizer is a really chilled out and funny guy. Overall it was a brilliant experience.
Thank you Traquil Voyagers. Look forward to have many more such trips :)

  75. Firstly thanks a ton Shravan for organizing such an awe-inspiring trek. My experience with Tranquil Voyagers for Kudremukh expedition was beyond my expectations. It was one of the best memory i would cherish.

Base camp was so clean & good with all the best facilities u can avail in that area. Trek difficulty level was easy and moderate. Kudremukh Trek was like a walk through paradise! It was all so well organized by Shravan that we had no worries about anything and thoroughly enjoyed the trip. 2 days passed away like blink of eye. Never got bored though i went alone coz the team was so friendly & we were engaged with lot of fun activities throughout our trip. To add onto all of this, food and hospitality of people in camp was warm welcoming.

I've already suggested my friends and colleagues about TQV and we're all waiting eagerly for your upcoming treks.

    Thanks and Regards,
    Anusha

  76. Kudremukha trek (Aug 13-14, 2016) was my third trek with Tranquil Voyagers. Before this I've done "Tumbe & Belur Falls" and "Meesapuliamala" treks with them. My experience so far with this group has been wonderful. Few salient points I would like to mention -

    1. This group has a reputation of doing offbeat treks. So if you are looking for something different over the regular, keep following this group.

    2. For all three treks, travel, food and stay arrangements were well taken care of.

    3. Itinerary was very well planned and the trip happened as per the schedule.

    4. Groups are always of optimal sizes and never were overtly crowded.

    5. Group atmosphere was always amiable. Shravan has unique ability of creating light and enjoyable atmosphere in any diverse group.

Looking forward for many more such wonderful experiences with TV. May this group flourish further in it's journey !!

    Thanks & Regards,

  77. Kudremukha - My first hike in Bangalore, and I am thankful to Shravan (Tranquil Voyagers) for making this such a memorable event. Whether you are a fast hiker or you like to enjoy the serene beauty of the hills and go a bit slow, Shravan kept everyone at pace, moving back and forth frequently (apart from the tour guide). The itinerary was well planned and he knew when everyone will be needing breaks and rests. Shravan is a true nature lover and believes in not disturbing/spoiling it, which is a habit I really appreciate. Anyone who likes to be with nature should definitely go on a Tranquil Voyagers trip. Also the pit stops for unique local foods were very good.
I would love to go on more trips with Tranquil Voyagers (the name is very apt, and so are the trips). Looking forward for the next adventure!

Thank you for organizing an amazing trip

  78. Kudremukha trek: This was my first trek with Tranquil Voyagers to Kudremukha. Thanks to Shravan & the group for making the environment so friendly that I believe no one felt alone even if people don't know each other. Stay, food and travel time was well organized. Since it was long weekend I was expecting a huge crowd in rooms but thanks to Shravan he chose the right room. Regarding the trek I would say it can't be described in words. So please go, feel & enjoy the nature. You will feel more refreshed after a full day long trek that's for sure. I felt our trek more enjoyable because of the full day rain & greenery that definitely didn't make us tired at all.

  79. Trekking kudremukha with Tranquil Voyagers was one of the best experiences I have had in my life . I never felt for a moment that I was travelling with strangers it was like travelling with friends. I enjoyed a lot in this trip. it was very well organised without any hiccups and things went on really smooth according to the itinerary. Excellent food and accommodation (not luxurious but really comfortable,Gives out real local experience) Shravan is an excellent organiser and really friendly guy, he's rather like a friend you are traveling with not as an organiser, really cool guy. I would definitely love to join more upcoming treks and I would recommend the same. Kudos to Shravan and Tranquil Voyagers for organising such a wonderful trek.

  80. The trek to Kudremukha was really a fantastic experience. Had an expert in Shravan who organized the trek and guided us well. Got an opportunity to meet some wonderful people and enjoyed several cack sessions and some games on the trip. The place was really amazing and worth visiting again perhaps when its raining less and with a better pair of trek shoes. The homestay at Kudremukha base was very comfortable so a big shoutout to them as well. Definitely look forward to staying in touch with the group and joining other treks by Tranquil Voyagers in future!!

  81. This was my 5th trek with TQV and the second to sharavati valley with a different destination: "Kanoor fort & Bellur waterfalls". First day trek(Kanoor fort) was awesome and a bit longer than expected, thanks to the numerous natural obstacles placed by mother nature to make our trek even more adventurous. Second day trek was to Bellur waterfalls. I have been to many water falls till date but this one with its location and perfect weather stands out of all. Would like to visit again for this trek in some what same season. Thanks Shravan for introducing such hidden places to us.

  82. Adopt the pace of nature her secret is patience.
    - Ralph Waldo Emerson
This was my first trek and it got me closer to the serenity of nature. My enthusiasm had no limit on the day 1 of the trek because it was something new I was going to explore. We started to head towards Kanoor Fort and on the way we saw a variety of colorful and attractive butterflies, it seemed like god was bored of the usual colors and was mixing up to find new combinations.
The path was tough and long, through the woods and not to forget the leeches. But the surprising showers and mini streams on the way were refreshing and encouraging. It always matters with the people you go with and with loved ones along the journey becomes more interesting. The calmness of nature brings you more closer to real word, disconnecting you from the digital world.
After a long walk through the undefined path, we reached the fort and saw beautiful flowers and some sculptures and carvings with our guide saying stories about the fort and the queen known for growing spices. We stayed there had some snacks and started our journey back to the base camp and here comes the twist and we had to walk walk and walk and my stamina started giving up but the push and the words of friends along let me hold my breath till the base camp.
The bajjis’s and the chai we had was never so tasty before. And we ended the day playing bluff and I went to sleep thinking that I am dead tiered and would drop out of the trek to falls the next day.
Day 2, I woke up thinking that my body pains were little better and I could hold myself and the willingness to complete the trek and the words told by my friends and the guide were so boosting that I decided to go for it.
We walked into the forest and down the hill with a few thuds and thumps falling on the slushes and holding the barks, waiting to see the falls as we hear her roar. As we got down the hill closer to the falls the fresh smell in the air and the cool breeze increased the excitement to see her beauty.
The moment we reached the falls it was just truly worth it. Nothing looked or felt better. It was that time I felt that nature always has so much to offer and it’s just us not seeing the beauty in it.
With my experience I would definitely suggest everyone to go on a trek with Tranquil Voyagers.

  84. Back with TQV on my third trek. A monsoon trek again. To Sharavathi valley. After two failed attempts to join TQV for sharavathi valley trek, i was able to join them this time - to Kanoor fort and Bellur falls. I go with no doubt now about the choice of the place by TQV. I just rest assured that the place i am going to see is tranquil and undisturbed. And the travel is always fun with this group. The encyclopedia of songs that rests in Shravan's brain will never fail to entertain anyone. travel filled with entertainment, treks that test your endurance, destinations that feel out-worldly, what more you want to make a memorable weekend. Shravan, Keep Going.

This trek was awesome and perfectly organized by Tranquil Voyagers . I will strongly recommend to all nature lover creatures to join this group for the adventurous trip.

  86. It was my 6th trek trek , 2nd in a month with TQV. This time the target was Kudremukh- Trekkers Paradise. Its a comparatively easy trek except for the last stretch. Have been to Kudremukh before in summers, but its a whole different experience in monsoon. We were the first group to reach the base and to the top as well. Reaching first have the advantage of having the full landscape for yourself. We all had a very nice sleep on the top for one hour in misty clouds. Shravan was very supportive for the strugglers. The trek was organized very well and we did't faced any uncertanity/difficulty during the whole trip.

  87. I have been on four treks with TQV and the last one was in Kudhremukh. Like always, the trek is organized so well that you don't have to worry about a thing when you get there. You simply have to enjoy the amazing views and make mast with others in the group. The landscapes in Kudremukh are really quite special and is one of the best Chikmagalur has to offer!

  88. Trek to Kudremukha peak with Tranquil Voyagers… a wonderful experience to share with!
Kudremukha … one of the pristine splendors of Western Ghats. Truly a trekker’s paradise. Trekking to this peak with Tranquil Voyagers organized by Shravan was memorable. Tranquil Voyagers respect and care for nature, noticed it in our trek as Shravan not only educating his fellow trekkers on code of conduct before they head in, but also to all those with lack of awareness on our entire journey.
From start to end it was a satisfying experience including the stay, food, local’s hospitality, travel and Shravan’s care on all of his participants. Happy to be part of the Tranquil Voyagers group. Wish to join more upcoming treks.
Recommendation to others on joining this group: 100%
    Kudos Shravan :)

  89. An amazing 2nd trek to Kudremukha, even more beautiful with the amazing weather. As always the trip was serene, camping at a peaceful homestay and savouring the wonderful local food. And all of this very meticulously arranged by Shravan, our organizer. It is always very healing to trek in the lap of nature and especially with the no impact policy that TQV adheres to, you almost feel your psyche detoxing... I am addicted to this and will recommend everyone to join me in this addiction... Its way better than everything else... Thanks a ton TQV... 😊

The Trek was perfectly organised right from the stay to the trekking itself.o had a lot of fun I must say. :)

I highly recommend Tranquil Voyagers, because once you Trek with TQV, you would definitely want to go with them again.

Pick up and drop timings was exact as mentioned in the itenary. Travel was comfortable, food was tasty, people were friendly, organizer was caring and stay in the tents inside the forest was just amazing.Organizer had provided good sleeping bags n mats..

Organizer made us to witness some awestruck landscapes of waterfalls and mountains which is still a fresh memory. Couldn't expect more and thanks a ton Shravan for organising this :)

  92. Sharavathi trek ' March 2017

The beautiful Sharavathi forests will remain etched in my mind forever. I started with a lot of expectations about this trek. And I got each one of it true. The amazing picture perfect campsite. The most beautiful waterfalls after a memorable trek experience. The refreshing water after a long trek. Shravan had us all bonded with his energy and wits. He made it all possible for us to experience this never forgettable trek. Between talented Shravan's endless singing (most beautiful by the way), great company of fellow trekkers ( and amazing human beings) to be among and my best buddy Madhu, this trek is one of the most cherished one that will remain in my heart forever.

waterfall is in the deep forest , it is not named till now ,
trek to the waterfall was awesome,
The gradient in the first stretch is mild and seems more like a walk through a jungle. one kilometer further, one has to descend downhill and uphill. The incline is steep and one clings to branches and roots for support. The trek involves crossing gentle streams and climbing down small rocks. The short yet memorable trek is filled with vignettes of sparkling water droplets, slippery rocks, mazes of roots, chirping birds, rustling winds, swaying branches, dark forest and amazing views of the Sharavathi Valley.we did camping on the bank of the river. view was awesome there , we did bonefire in night, and prepared tea in morning on bonefire.

    Hi guys,I'm Rajeev.
I've been to Kudhremukh,Bandaje Arbi falls and Sharavati back waters with Tranquil Voyagers.

Hailing from Hyderabad, the state of Karnataka was new to me. I wanted to visit and explore the much heard about western ghats and its mesmerizing beauty.

Both my earlier visits to Kudhremukh (mind blowing view from the peak) and Bandaje Arbi falls(A delightful sight to watch the gushing water).

About my recent visit to Sharavathi back waters, words are not enough to express the feeling of staying in the woods. The day was spent on a challenging trek to an unknown water fall on a rocky path. This was quite adventurous. A night under a blanket of stars and Moon amidst the woods,by the river was a perfect way to spend the weekend and end the day.

What makes these trips wonderful are the people we meet and the amazing organisers - Tranquil Voyagers.
Right from the pick up and drop off service to making everyone feel at home is what Tranquil Voyagers do by going the extra mile. Food, accommodation and travel have all been afforded at the best for the best price.

Safety has always been considered and nothing has been compromised.

I look forward to more such amazing treks and visits to amazing locations with Tranquil Voyagers.

  95. Coming from Gurgaon and doing countless treks in Himalayas I did not expect much from this trek.however as Soon as I boarded the Traveller I knew it was going to be fun. My previous experience with commercial trekking companies had been of accompanying 20-30 people at a time. The small group with Shravan felt homely thanks to his efforts of getting us all introduced early in the bus itself. Sharing the same interest for Kishore da's songs with Shravan made the 12 hour drive short. Next day was mostly walking in the jungle the terrain has a few tough patches but all in all it's doable with some basic stamina. Lots of reviews have mentioned and it's needless to say but still I will - The view was good, the company was fun, food was tasty and beds were clean.I loved this short and sweet trek.It was beautifully managed by Shravan.Looking forward for more such trips with Tranquil Voyagers.Keep the good work. Cheers!

I had travelled with Tranquil Voyagers for the first time. The trip involved trek to hidden waterfalls and Camping at Sharavathi Backwaters. First the trip was organized well, we got picked up on time. The trek to hidden waterfall through the forest was amazing. Though it was hot, we never felt it since we were walking under tree cover. Once we reached the waterfall, food was prepared there and we had lunch near waterfall. Post our waterfall visit, we reached back to our base camp. From base camp we reached our camping site amidst forest and sharavathi Backwaters. Words can't describe the beauty of our camping site, to add to the beauty of the place we that day was full moon. We had bon fire. The next day we left camping site at 9.30. We again had a short trek amidst forest to reach our vehicle and then drove back to bangalore. The food arrangements were good, sleeping bag and tents were provided. There was no delay in travel.

  97. First of all I want to thank Tranquil Voyagers for setting up such a great trip/exploration. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. To be very honest initially I had freaked out after reading your email thinking you'd be extremely strict, however only when I got to meet is when I realized you are such a fun loving guy. You are extremely organized and planned, so thanks for being a great guide, Shravan. I didn't quite know what to expect when I planned up for this trip, but I can easily say this far exceeded any of my expectations, and I would recommend it to my friends and family. To say the least, to me personally it was the experience of a lifetime, and words cannot describe the overall experience. Just awesome!! Would love to join you on more treks/trips to more amazing locations. ~ ~ Rahana Raj V R

  98. I had been planning to go on a trek from quite sometime now, but never got an oppurtunity or a good group to go along with. I came to know about Tranquil Voyagers from my sister who has been a regular trekker with Tranquil Voyagers. So I decided to go on a trek with Tranquils. And I must say that my first experience of trekking has become one of the most memorable experiences I have ever had, and all thanks to Tranquil Voyagers. What I realised is that, Tranquils is a very well managed, lively, organized, punctual, enthusiastic and adventurous group. I would definitely like to join Shravan and Tranquil Voyagers for the next trek soon.
I wish all the very best to you Shravan and to Tranquils for organizing such good treks and living upto the expectations of the travellers joining you in future.

    Cheers!!! :-)

  100. This was my umpteenth trek with Tranquil Voyagers and even after so many beautiful trek I can safely say that there is always a novel experience each time. Although the trek destination (top station-Munnar) is a little touristy, the trail is an amazing display of serenity. The camping site was nothing less than idyllic, far from the din of the tourist spot, in the midst of tea plantations, this place offered an opportunity to connect with nature. Unlike other groups, the policy of no boozing and no smoking has not dwindled for tranquil voyagers. This not only ensures a no nuisance and natural atmosphere but also keeps the trekker at their physical best. Thanks Shravan for all the meticulous planning you do to make the trek a wonderful experience for us. Looking forward to more treks with TQV.

  101. Have been a regular trekker with Tranquil Voyagers. Having done almost 15 treks with them, I have to say it has been an wonderful experience. Each trek is different and into some of the only few places which are untouched by people.
Main differentiating factor from other groups is the limited people they take in to a trek(12 - 20), because of which each n every person will be taken care of. Also the food which are freshly prepared and served whenever possible keeps the morale high for the treks.

  102. I trekked with Tranquil Voyagers to top station munnar. I was a little slow and the entire team accommodated me and waited for me, sometimes half an hour :P I'm just happy to travel with such understanding group. 103. Hi
Recently I went on a trek with Tranquil voyagers to Kudremukha peak. This was my second trek with Tranquils. It's quite obvious that you would want to go out(again) with someone only if you like the company. What urged me to go on a second trek with Tranquil voyagers was definitely the company. I was quite convinced after my first trek with Tranquils that this group is going to provide me with a company whom I would be comfortable to trek with. The organizer of the group SHRAVAN is himself very friendly and he also ensures that people who join his group for trek are friendly with each other and maintain mutual respect. It's 100% that if you join this group for trek, you will land up making new and good friends.
My first experience to Top Station, Munnar with Tranquils was awesome and second trek to Kudremukha was even more awesome. The scenic beauty, the rain while we were returning from kudremukha and also encountering leaches all along made the whole experience very memorable. I was lucky to have done this monsoon trek.
We were made to stay in a home stay located in the midst of the mountains of western ghats. The accommodation was extremely comfortable with the provision of hot water, beds and blankets. Yes, not every trek will have the facility of a home stay coz in many treks Tranquil Voyagers also make the trekkers do camping on extremely picterisque camping sites.
I would definitely recommend Tranquil voyagers to people who really want to trek.
I thank Shravan for the wonderful experience I could have with Tranquils and I really look forward to going on many more treks with Tranquils... :-)

  106. Kudremukha Trek: This was my very first trek in my life and it was great experience meeting very nice people and to know their inspiring experiences.

Being the first time trekker I had lot of fears like how would be the people in the group, the facilities during the stay, food, transportation etc. But I never felt any discomfort during my entire stay and thanks to Mr.SHRAVAN for taking care of everything.

This guy is friendly with everyone and makes everyone feel comfortable that you are not away from your family.Everything was planned and executed properly.

This first trek experience made me convinced that I can chose tranquil voyagers for my next expeditions.

Thank you Shravan and I am looking forward for more trips.

    Happy Voyaging!!!

  107. This is was my 1st trek. It was really a freak weather condition, freezing mornings & nights, extreme rain, these things made the trek more challenging.

Though i hold the record of completing the trek in last place and maximum leech bytes, completing the trek in such condition what it takes.

I really enjoyed the company of entire group, especially our captain Shravan who used make fun of everyone in a healthy way. The real fun was during chit chat on the rules of dumb charades and some new ways we discovered while playing the 20-Questions Game (Shrvan knows what am talking about:)).

Thank you Shravan for organizing this Trek and looking forward for many more.

  108. My second expedition with Tranquil Voyagers and the experience from initial booking to drop off after the hike was excellent. Like a wise man once said only when you like someone's company would you want to be accompanied again and this is so true with Shravan / Tranquil Voyagers, 100% fun/tranquility guaranteed. Shravan is extremely organized and always ensures utmost attention is paid towards everyone's accommodation, safety, transport and food. What urges me to be back with this group is that Tranquil Voyagers organizes treks because of their paramount love for nature. Another striking point is that Shravan does not just guide people to trek all along but he also ensures none of the team members would disrupt the serenity of the nature by making certain that everyone abide by the rules and regulations.
Well, this was my first monsoon trek and I must say Kudremukh is such a beauty. As ours was one of the first groups to trek towards Kudremukh Peak this season we were fortunate enough to spot some of the exotic birds and most interestingly played with the leaches all along :P . Above all, happiness of reaching the summit first among the group was just amazing.
I promise to be back with you on your next expedition.  Thanks ton for arranging such a wonderful trek Tranquil Voyagers/ Shravan.

Kudremukha trek: This was my first trek with Tranquil Voyagers. Meticulously planned and a very well organised event by Sharavan. It's indeed a transcendental experience to trek in Western ghats, specially when it rolls the green carpets for you in it's full glory! This monsoon, as always, brought in different levels of experiences to the trek, in every step forward. Apart from trekking, a weekend with wonderful and energetic team is always a pleasant surprise! Thank you very much Sharavan for organizing this event and choosing us to be a part of it, as for me it came just at the right time :) Hope to see you in future expeditions!

  113. It was my first experience trekking with Tranquil Voyagers after having followed them on Facebook for about 2 years. I have trekked the Himalayas but Western Ghats was long due and what better than Kudremukh to start with. I am so glad that I trusted my instincts and decided to go with Tranquil Voyagers, who surpassed my expectations in every little thing from teamwork and fun to comfort and ease to trekking with responsibility and conscience. If I write about everything this review will run into pages, hence I would like to mention one or two things that stood out for me. I have been greatly impressed by their ‘green’ approach – trek to have fun, trek to challenge yourself, trek to be with nature but no littering at all, carry back every little trash you generate and dispose in the right place, also no alcohol and cigarettes.

Shravan has great leadership qualities and is a highly professional trek leader. With his great sense of humor, wit and intelligence, the immense amount of energy he exudes, his love for nature and all creatures of nature he’s simply great fun to be with. Besides it was great relief to discover that we were with a highly organized and disciplined individual, something that I feel is of super importance while on treks. To add to all this, he’s a singer and his melodious voice will leave you wanting more…….

I now know who to go with for all my South India treks – Tranquil Voyagers it is!

  118. Meesapulimalai and kolukkumalai trek - One of the best treks i have been to for a long long time. Mother nature was at its brilliant best with its breathtaking views, serene atmosphere, tranquility and wilderness. Right from the time we boarded from Bangalore to scaling the second highest peak in the western ghats and back, it was one epic journey. The trip was meticulously planned and organised by shravan but the striking feature was the way he dealt with hiccups mid way through the journey which is part of any travel which shows the leadership skills embedded in him. The group was fantastic comprising of people from various fields and all walks of life, the memories made during this trip will be cherished by all of us. And yes more offbeat adventures will follow my travel life with tranquil, Way to go . Cheers!!

  119. Where do i start about this trek?? Have been trekking with TV for quite sometime and everytime the entire group is on time when we start the trip from bangalore . Nice and friendly people to trek with. Sharavan, the leader doesn't give up so easily. when there was a instance when the guide did not come in time for sunrise trek, he took up the lead and guided the entire group upto the peak to have a mesmerising view of mother nature. The group is so friendly that you always get when you go on trek with TQ. waiting for more off beat treks and be part of amazing people.
Personal request to Tranquil voyagers to consider on comfort while travelling for such long journeys as this one (10hrs). Also, pl organise Nilgris trek.

  121. Meesapulimala and Kulukumalai expedition - 8th and 9th of July 2017.

This was my first trek with Tranquil Voyagers though not first of it's kind. Initially, I didn't expect much with the organizer (Shravan) or the group. But, I needed to change my opinion soon after we began our adventure. Shravan with his great great sense of humour kept us engaging through out the trek. I have never had such a fun filled Antyakshari over the campfire till date. Shravan, please don't forget to give a consolation prize to Ramya and update your terms and conditions :)

I am extremely proud to have conquered the second highest peak in Western Ghats, Meesapulimala, standing at a height of 8660 ft. Each one of them in the group added a new flavour to my experience and made it much more memorable.

On a whole, it wasn't simply one more excursion for me. The trek with tranquil voyagers gave me moments I'll cherish for my life time. Looking forward to trekking with you again!

  122. Meesapulimala - My 2nd trek with Tranquil Voyagers and overall too :). Had an amazing experience going solo with all new people around who were all really friendly and easy going! Amazing group to go with definitely without any doubt. The best part is the efforts put by Shravan, to maintain the serenity and beauty of nature. Everything organised just perfectly. Had an experience for lifetime :)

  127. Yet another wonderful weekend with Tranquil group. This time it was a trek to Kodaikanal through Vellagavi village. A moderate trek complimeted by a perfect fun-loving group. Great food and wonderful hospitality by the Vellagavi villagers. Location of the camp site was pretty good as well. This is certainly one of the "Not to miss" treks.

  130. Periyakulam to Kodaikanal trek for 2 days.
My first trek experience with a group of nature lovers.
    1. Distance covered was perfectly divided in two days according to the strength of the trekkers.
    2. Food provided was mouth watering.(you should not worry about the food when the organiser is a foodie)
    3. Camping site was well chosen and organised (bliss to find no crowd on a long weekend)
If you wanna try crazy go with tranquil voyagers for at least one trek. Fun filled trek with much motivation, serenity, travel stories, and love.
Advise: If the trek is promised for 18 make up your mind for 25km in search of nature.
Tranquil voyagers offer you more than what they promise for.

  131. My first trek with this amazing group, Tranquil voyagers. It was a wonderful experience. Met amazing people. The whole trip was filled with loads of fun and laughter.
The trek from Periyakulam to Kodaikanal was filled with mesmerizing views and serenity.
To visit a village which is 500 years old was amazing.
The camping site was brilliant with breathtaking views.
Shravan is an amazing organiser, the whole trip was beautifully organised. I loved his policy of respect for Mother Nature. His travel stories are something that you shouldn't miss because they'll definitely inspire you to travel more.
I would definitely suggest Tranquil voyagers to anyone who is looking for a 'completely worth it' type of trek experience.

  132. Detachment leads to attachment. My first trek with Tranquil Voyagers was a pure detachment from regular life to tranquility and sereneness of the mother nature which helped to bounce back into the routine with new outlook.
We were group of 10 awesome people who trekked for two days from Periyakulam to Kodaikanal. On the way we visited 500 years old Vellagavi village. Our camping site was situated amidst beautiful Palani hills.
The trek was well organized. The best part is they believe in keeping the nature in its original form. The food was great.
Thanks to the Shravan who is a spellbound story teller and fun filled traveller for this amazing trip.
Looking forward for more such trips with Tranquil Voyagers. :)

  133. My first trek from periyakulam to kodaikanal was a great one. The first thing motivated me to go for the trek is the policy of the Tranquil Voyagers of keeping the nature in it's purest form and enjoying it's serenity.
Listening to the birds, drinking water from the small streams of the forest, and enjoying the delicious fruits of the forest and visiting a village with more than 500 years of history was overall a great experience.
I thought I will not be able to finish the trek. As it's my first time it was very tiring but once I finished it I felt like I don't mind getting tired again and again to experience the joy of it. The motivation given by Tranquil Voyagers through out the trek was simply awesome.
And shravan I really appreciate the way you organized the trek. If everyone follows the rules you have to save the mother nature the nature will remain in it's purest form ever.
Overall it was a great experience with Tranqui Voyagers and looking forward for the more and more treks in the future with them...🙂

  134. It was the first ever trek of mine and I am really glad that I made a decision of going ahead with Tranquil Voyegers. The entire to and fro journey was full of fun and many incidents that I can still laugh to. The homestay was out of the world(according to me) as I was seeing such a setup for the first time in my life and it was worth it. Such a basic home and yet so homely. This entire trek was little challenging for me but Sravan as our guide was really helpful. I was not sure that I can make it to the top but he motivated me to try. I am glad I did as the view from hill top was so breath taking and serene. I will surely trek again. :)

  135. Kurinjal peak is the first trek I did with Tranquil Voyagers recently. The experience was amazing. The event was very well organized. Right from the meeting point, Shravan kept us engaged with discussions, sharing experiences and other time pass activities. Food and stay facilities at home stay was exceptional. Apart from trekking, one more common taste between me and Shravan is backpack rides, and that leads to some very interesting discussions. I definitely recommend this to others.

Only one negative point(on a lighter note) is, Shravan demands Bira for sharing pics, so please don't expect photos from him :) :)

  138. Sharavathi Unexplored Waterfalls on 28th and 29th July 2018 : Sharavathi is an amazing forest range and I love to be there anytime of the year. However, monsoon is a challenging and equally pleasant experience. Of course, leeches welcome you wholeheartedly! Tranquil does a great job in finding a unique place and a suitable guide. And this time we explored an untouched waterfall and enjoyed its purity to the core... amazing experience indeed! Thanks Shravan for making this happen. Looking foeward for more. Cheers!

  139. Sharavathi ... My very first monsoon trek.. The place just goes beyond description... One of the best treks I have ever done.. The trails were picturesque with lush green landscapes and the streams and waterfalls were the souls of this trek.. Though my first time it was pleasure trekking with Tranquil Voyagers.. Thanks to Shravan for making me feel so comfortable and organising this expedition so perfectly, from transport to accommodation to serving scrumptious food Coordinating with Dharma(localite).. it was delightful with super entertainment throughout the journey and having such fun loving people around was icing on the cake... Glad I could make it to this and looking forward for more adventures in future...

  140. My second trek with Tranquil Voyagers and truly a remarkable one and surely one of the memorable trek to cherish for a long time. We explored 3 water falls and after seeing Sharavathi stretch we all felt that God has created this place when he was in a good mood!!! Such a beautiful place. Shravan led the team really well and carries really good knowledge about ranges and managed time very effectively. Kudos to the entire team for making the event successful and big thanks to Shravan. Tranquil is the group to be with for treks and adventure camps.

  141. Monsoon Trek to Sharavathi - its always a new experience going on a trek with Tranquil Voyagers. The trek to Sharavathi was my 3rd trek with the group and undoubtedly the most fun too! It's altogether a different feeling exploring the offbeat places that are hardly travelled and the credit goes to Shravan to plan such expeditions and making sure of everybody's comfort. The landscape is breathtaking and your heart will always crave for more with every new step. With tranquil voyagers, it's the journey that you'll always remember and ofcourse all the wonderful folks you meet! Thank you for an amazing experience. I had "the time of my life"!:D

  148. This was my 5th Trek with Tranquil Voyagers, as always it was all fun and frolic, explored an unknown area, meet some amazing people and enjoyed the 2 days. Shravan is as always very enthusiastic, takes utmost care of the people travelling in the group. When we travel we may not see or experience what we thought off but that's the best part of travelling ..its not about the destination but the journey we take and people we meet during the journey.

  149. My first trek to Kudremukh was awesome but last week trek to Sharavathi (Trichy Trekkers from Tamilnadu) was total disaster. I really disappointed with the arrangements. Stay was horrible, food was not ok. Forget about stay and food which i dont give much importance but due to your negligence the trek didn't happen. The forest permission wasn't taken properly and hence we kept on waiting for hours and when somehow we got chance to go for falls it was too late for the trek. The forest people literally threaten us to leave the place. Everyone ( group of 54 peoples) came with lot of enthusiasm to see something awesome but it was total disaster. I will think 100 times before join the trek which you are going to organize.

    1. Hi Amol.

Thanks for your feedback and We really apologies for the inconvenience. The disaster started with your own group, even after warning several times in Kudremukha and in Sharavati, you guys started boozing, All the necessary permissions have been received from forest dept, and the copy is with your Team Leaders Anitha/Ramesh, you can cross verify. A forest guard complained to the Forest office in Shimoga about boozing in the forest and so the permission was withheld due to this abnormal activity.

Hope you guys will realize this blunder atleast now and not booze/smoke and spoil nature on any of your future treks.

      Happy trekking.

      Cheers
